Secure Intermediation in Buying and Selling Tickets

Enntra is a comprehensive event ticketing and marketplace platform built by Main 12 that revolutionizes how event tickets are bought and sold across Latin America. The platform serves as a trusted intermediary, verifying every ticket and protecting buyer and seller funds through an escrow-based payment system at every step of the transaction lifecycle.

The Challenge

The event ticketing industry in Latin America faces significant challenges: ticket fraud, unreliable sellers, opaque pricing structures, and a general lack of buyer protection. Traditional marketplace platforms either do not operate in the region or fail to address the specific needs of the Latin American market including multi-language support, local payment methods, and region-specific event categories.

The Solution

Enntra solves these challenges with a secure, transparent platform that puts trust at the center of every transaction. A robust escrow system holds buyer funds until tickets are delivered and verified. Sellers receive payment only after successful ticket transfer, creating a trusted ecosystem for both parties across the entire Latin American region.

All tickets are authenticated before transactions complete, and funds are only released when both parties confirm satisfaction, effectively eliminating fraud from the marketplace entirely.

The platform handles disbursements, refunds, and dispute resolution automatically through a comprehensive financial processing engine built in-house.

All costs including service fees, taxes, and payment processing charges are clearly displayed before any transaction is completed. The platform handles multiple tax jurisdictions and generates compliant invoices automatically.

Multi-Language Support: Full internationalization with English and Spanish interfaces powered by next-intl, making the platform fully accessible across Latin America with localized content, regional date and currency formatting, and country-specific configuration settings.

Advanced Event Discovery: Browse events by category covering Urban, Pop and Rock, and Electronic music genres. Filter by city and date with intelligent search algorithms. Featured event carousels and artist showcases provide an engaging browsing experience for discovering the next live event.

Architecture and Technical Design

Enntra follows Clean Architecture principles with strict separation between domain, application, infrastructure, and interface layers. Built on Next.js 16 with the App Router and React 19 using Turbopack. Payload CMS 3 serves as headless CMS and ORM with PostgreSQL. HeroUI v2 with Tailwind CSS v4 for responsive UI. Authentication through Payload built-in auth with OAuth2 and phone OTP.

Marketplace Ecosystem

Complete ecosystem with shopping carts, order management, ticket transfers, and dispute resolution. Users manage wallets, track transactions, and request payouts. Organizers have tools for listing events, managing inventory, and viewing real-time analytics. Handles complex scenarios including multi-date events, series tours across cities, VIP packages, and general admission with specific inventory rules per event type.

API and Integration Architecture

Versioned v3 API for checkout, events, tickets, and search. MCP server at /api/mcp for AI agent automation. Webhook endpoints for platform integrations and cron jobs for scheduled tasks. Integrated with Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel through Google Tag Manager with full Consent Mode v2 compliance for GDPR and privacy regulations across all regions.

Payment System

Custom payment module handling payment processing, escrow holds, disbursements, refunds, and dispute resolution. Wallet system tracks user balances and transaction history. Stripe integration provides credit card processing while the platform manages settlement logic including tax calculation, fee splitting, and multi-currency support for international transactions across Latin America.

My Role

As Tech Lead and Full-Stack Architect at Main 12, I designed and led the architecture of the entire Enntra platform from concept through production deployment. Established Clean Architecture patterns across all collections, designed the payment and wallet system, built the MCP server for AI agent automation, and oversaw the complete development lifecycle including team coordination, code review, and deployment strategy for a platform serving users across Latin America.
